Leadership – core competencies

Top performers in the marketplace
are characterized by their creativity,
enjoyment and a high degree of empowerment.”

The fundamental question associated with management skills seeks to identify the individual’s personal core competencies. Together with well-founded expertise, including subject-specific and generic know-how, conflict management, and staff development and organizational development, one of the most important main competencies is enjoyment of work. Enjoyment, lived out in its truest form, is one of the most important things life has to offer and has a contagious effect upon the other people in the same environment or the same company. When the atmosphere or climate within an institution or company is taken as one of the main criteria of quality, enjoyment appears to be a significant factor. An employee working with enjoyment will perform well, have a strong sense of empowerment, a good work-life balance and usually be open to learning new things. These elements provide the best conditions for an innovative, high-performing system which is prepared to adapt to changing situations and conditions as quickly as possible and to positive effect. This means that over the long run, these are the teams acting as high performers in the marketplace. We will be happy to provide support and advice on how to initiate the optimum team development process and successfully create an inspiring innovative working atmosphere.
